La Vista Vineyard
Adelaida District | Paso Robles

La Vista Vineyard is nestled into the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. As the crow flies, the vineyard is just about twelve miles from the Pacific Ocean. This proximity, coupled with the high elevation, welcomes the breezes off the Pacific Ocean to sweep through the vineyard in the late afternoons cooling the vines after warm days. The vines are planted on rocky, extremely steep slopes with shallow, calcareous soil contributing to low yields of intensely flavored fruit that maintains beautiful acidity and relatively low pH.

Owners Ken and Marilyn Riding along with their team are committed to growing vines that produce fruit that expresses the unique terroir of the vineyard.  The Ridings allow us to farm the fruit for Nicora on a per acre basis – a dream come true for a winemaker. This farming technique allows Nick to work directly with the La Vista Vineyard team to control all aspects from growing to harvesting.
